Report Printing
The reports produced by Contract Collector can either be printed on paper or
viewed on your monitor. When you select a report from one of the menus in
Contract Collector, a pop-up window similar to the one shown at the right, prompts
you to either select MONITOR or DEFAULT PRINTER. You choose either option by selecting the appropriate radio button in OUTPUT. Complete information about the options for each report is provided in the
documentation.
Output
Under the Output heading, you specify whether to display the report on your monitor or to
print it. A default of Monitor is provided. If you change the default to a printer, the system remembers
your choice and uses it as a default for subsequent reports during your current
work session. The default remains the same for all reports until you change it
again or log off the system.
To the right of the radio buttons in OUTPUT, there is a printer icon used for changing your default printer. When you
position the mouse pointer over the icon and click, a pop-up window listing all
your installed printer devices appears. If you need to change your default
printer, choose the appropriate printer and close the PRINTERS pop-up window. For further information on changing or installing default
print drivers, refer to your Windows User Manual.
After you have specified all the options and the output device, click on the OK push-button to print or view the report.
Printing to Disk: To output a report or notice to a disk file instead of your printer, you will
need to install a Print to Disk File print driver in Windows. Refer to your
Windows User Manual for details. Once you have installed the Print to Disk File
print driver in Windows, you will need to select that print driver as your DEFAULT PRINTER. Printing to a disk file creates an ASCII text file that contains the output
from the report or notice, which can then be opened and edited with a word
processor.
